열린 문을 닫아버린 어떤 사람들에게 다가간 것 같았어요.
열쇠를 돌려 문을 잠그고
나는 앉아서 내 속에 자리 잡고 있는 그들에게 말했지요.
They answered my questions with questions
And they pointed me into the night
Where the moon was a star-painted dancer
And the world was just a spectrum of light
나의 질문들에 대해 그들은 또 다른 질문들로 대답하더군요.
그리고 달이 별빛 문양의 무용수처럼 보이는
이 세상이 마치 빛의 스펙트럼처럼 여겨지는
어둠의 깊은 곳으로 나를 향하게 했어요.
They reached to my center of reason
And pulled on the touchstone that''s there
The shock of that light had me reeling
And I fell into the depths of despair
그들은 내 이성의 중심으로 다가와
그곳에 존재하고 있던 핵심을 끄집어냈지요.
나는 그 빛의 충격으로 흔들려
절망의 나락으로 떨어졌어요.

And they set me to stand on the brink
Where the sun and the moon were as brothers
And all that was left was to think
열쇠를 돌려 문을 잠그고,
나는 앉아서 내 속에 자리하고 있는 그들에게 말했지요.
내가 던진 질문에 그들은 또 다른 질문들로 대답했어요.
해와 달이 형제로서 존재하는 곳에서
나는 결정적인 갈림길에 서게 됐지요.
그리고 남겨진 것은 오직 생각해보는 것뿐이에요.

그들은 여러 가지 질문들로 내 질문에 대답하고
나를 밤 속으로 향하도록 했어요.
나를 지탱해주고 있던 그 힘은 나를 홀로 남겨두었지요.
